Wooo, Daria weekend marathon. Hopefully it'll keep my spirit strong and cynical all through the month of April as my second semester comes to a close. Thank fuck I asked for so much vacation time. I'll actually, maybe, hopefully be able to do this paper justice. (I must be sick, I'm looking forward to writing it. Or Daria is rubbing off on me.)

Now the only thing I really want in this universe is a fic where Daria FINALLY, omg FINALLY has her brains fucked out by Trent. (yes, yes, dreaded het. I DO NOT CARE. I've had a crush on Trent for years upon YEARS. Why wouldn't I want to read a story where he fucks meDaria.) There was one Daria/Trent fic vaguely worth reading, but it FADED TO BLACK. Oh the humanity. And I realize, story-wise, I'd probably enjoy the femslash more, but... Jane's her best friend.

I just. *waves hands* Ok, so maybe I'm drawing a few too many comparisons to my life. I'm still never going to be able to read Daria/Jane. And the AO3 crowd, for whatever reason, seems to be skewed heavily toward Quinn/Sandy (as much as skewing can happen when the collection only contains 15 items.)

Why hasn't anyone written that 200k Daria/Trent epic involving the entire cast, crazy college hijinks, Tom pretending to be gay at a club in Boston with Daria and Jane egging him on, Quinn at first loving and then freaking out about being the last child standing, Jake's second heart attack when the first ubill comes in the mail, and the general inability to escape home while paradoxically also never being able to return? (Also, maybe Jane and Tom get back together (I seem to remember an episode where Jane said she was saving her virginity for college - precisely 11 am on the day they let her move into the dorm. If she's going to move that fast, someone familiar and awesome would have to already have to be waiting in the wings. (omg, he'd totally help her break in that dorm bed. He's good like that.)))

WHERE IS IIIIT? (and I suppose Quinn/Sandy would have to be threaded through as well. With eyebrow threading. This is the 21st century, after all, and fashion progress must march on! ....arrrrrg, my braaaaaains. Come baaaack.)

So what I may have nearly every line of Is It Fall Yet? memorized. What's your point. I only watched it a few thousand times during one (or two) of my summers off. I SWEAR.
